The theatre is a way of life for Pim van Amerongen. Since graduating from Carroll Senior High School four years ago, he has performed at the Boston Conservatory, Stoneham Theatre in Massachusetts and even sang with the Boston Pops Orchestra.? Last spring, van Amerongen graduated Cum Laude from The Boston Conservatory and moved to New York City to pursue an acting career. After one month in the Big Apple, he was cast in the National Tour of?A Chorus Line.?

Under the direction of Baayork Lee (Connie from the original 1976 Broadway production), van Amerongen was cast as Don, one of the 17 characters who make the first cut and are ?on the line? for the remainder of the audition. The tour began with 2 weeks of intensive rehearsals in New York City, followed by a Tech Week and production opening in Tacoma, WA. ?This is the second National Tour since the Broadway Revival and focuses on bringing the production to smaller cities in the U.S. Click here to visit the company website for showtimes and tickets.

Pim van Amerongen graduated from Carroll Senior High in 2008. ?While at Carroll, van Amerongen was in the National Honor Society, Carroll Choir and Show Choir, Carroll Theatre, Band and Marching Band. ?He trained extensively at Ohlook Performing Arts Center in Grapevine and performed at Casa Ma?ana before going on to study Musical Theater at The Boston Conservatory. ?During his last four years, van Amerongen performed regularly at the Boston Conservatory, as well as several professional performances during school breaks including Barnstormer?s Theater in New Hampshire, Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut, Stoneham Theatre in Massachusetts and singing with the Boston Pops Orchestra in their Visions of America 2012 concert. The WISE Foundation named him Emerging Artist of 2011, for his performance in Stoneham Theatre?s 42nd Street.

van Amerongen says he never forgets his ?roots? and still performs locally at Ohlook Performing Arts Center including playing the lead role, Leo Frank in their 2011 summer production of Parade, the Musical and coming home as a featured performer for their September 2012 Ten Year Anniversary Gala.

With Higher Taxes Looming, Bonuses May Come Early - NYTimes ...

Some highly paid workers may be getting an extra Christmas present this year: an early bonus.

Firms in bonus-heavy industries like finance, law and consulting typically pay their annual bonuses after Jan. 1, once the firm?s (and employee?s) previous calendar-year performance can be fully assessed. But now, anticipating higher income tax rates in 2013, some companies have decided to distribute their bonuses by Dec. 31 instead.

At Ares Management, a financial services firm, employees have been told they will receive bonuses in mid-December instead of mid-January. A spokesman for the company declined to comment about its compensation practices.

Paying bonuses early ? not more, not less, just early ? can save high-income employees quite a bit of cash. That is because a series of tax changes scheduled to kick in at the end of the year will cause income received in 2013 to be taxed at higher rates than income received in 2012.

?It?s one of the few things you can do as an employer that?ll make employees happy that doesn?t cost you anything,? said Alan Johnson, managing director of Johnson Associates, a compensation consulting firm.

Mr. Johnson, like other compensation and tax consultants and lawyers interviewed, said he had been receiving a lot of inquiries from firms considering accelerating their bonuses into this year.

?Right after the election, many of our clients started calling saying they were interested in doing this,? said Regina Olshan, a partner in the executive compensation group at the international law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. So far only a handful have actually decided to give bonuses early, she said, but others may follow suit if Congress marches toward Dec. 31 without voting to undo planned tax increases.

?I can promise you I?ll have calls on Dec. 20 asking, ?Can I accelerate everything in the next two weeks??? she said.

Smaller, privately held firms ? particularly private equity companies, known for their tax-planning acumen ? seem to be taking the biggest interest.

Publicly held companies often have a bigger administrative and legal burden if they change their bonus calendar, especially since many of them have employees abroad under different countries? tax systems. Public companies also appear to be wary of the appearance of lowering their tax bill, even if the actions are completely legal, particularly if they received taxpayer-funded bailouts during the financial crisis.

?There?s so much contemplated regulation in terms of compensation these days,? said Steven G. Eckhaus, a partner at the law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman. ?You can just imagine the public reaction given the fact that bankers are still doing relatively well relative to everyone else. Most people don?t have the luxury of being able to change when they get their compensation, let alone receive that kind of bonus in the first place.?

One of the risks of paying bonuses early is that companies do not know for certain whether they will hit their annual targets, which for accounting, legal and administrative reasons are often supposed to be tied to the bonuses they pay out.

After all, in the last few weeks of the year, clients may not pay, the market may drop precipitously, or some other calamity may arise, and companies have no easy way of clawing back bonuses they have already given out.

At publicly traded companies, if performance-based bonuses are distributed and the company does not hit its targets, the company itself can face adverse tax consequences.

One solution, said Mr. Johnson, is to pay part of the annual bonus before Dec. 31, and then wait to pay the rest of it until after the new year, when the company has had a chance to go over the complete books more thoroughly.

Paying bonuses early can certainly impose administrative headaches.

Even though, for accounting reasons, companies usually know by December roughly how much money they?re going to pay out over all, they usually have not yet determined how that bonus pool will be distributed. At bigger firms, the process for allocating bonuses takes about six weeks, according to James F. Reda, managing director at James F. Reda & Associates, a division of Gallagher Benefit Services.

Usually, accountants and tax lawyers advise their clients to defer as much compensation as possible until after the new year.

That?s partly because there is a chance that their income will fall into a lower tax bracket the following year. Additionally, receiving income on Jan. 1 rather than Dec. 31 also means that they can hold on to their money longer before having to hand over some of it as taxes to the government. Income received on Dec. 31, 2012, is taxed by April 15, 2013; taxes on money received on Jan. 1, 2013, may not be payable in full until April 15, 2014. The taxpayer can use that extra year to invest the money and earn a return on it.

Accountants? and lawyers? advice is different this year because tax rates are expected to rise on Jan. 1, particularly for those with higher incomes.

If tax rates for high earners return to their Clinton-era rates, as President Obama wants, the top marginal income tax rate would rise from 35 percent to 39.6 percent. That may not sound like a big jump, but when you?re talking about large sums of money, the increase can be substantial.

A $1 million bonus taxed at the top marginal rate, for example, would incur an additional $46,000 in taxes ($396,000, instead of $350,000).

And that calculation factors in just one of the tax rates scheduled to rise at the end of the year. Earners in the top brackets are likely be hit with other tax increases in 2013, including the expiration of the payroll tax cut and a new Medicare surtax created by the Affordable Care Act.

Clients have been calling their tax and compensation lawyers about accelerating other forms of income, too. Ms. Olshan said she received a call from a client who expected to be fired next year and wanted to know about requesting severance early.

Compensation lawyers and consultants noted that companies have received ?false alarms? about Washington?s plans to raise taxes in the past, so companies may be dragging their feet about speeding up the bonus cycle this year.

?This is about the fourth time we?ve gone through this tax scare, where people say there?s some catastrophic tax thing coming,? Mr. Johnson said. As a result, he thinks most firms will not revise their bonus calendars. ?Some may regret it deeply in a few months, but I think most won?t get around to it.?

Windows 8 off to a slow start, first sales reports suggest

15 hrs.

We know that Windows 8 is critical for Microsoft. The Redmond-based software giant needs its latest operating system to do well. Unfortunately, a research firm's?report shows that Windows 8 is off to a slow start?? and it may be contributing to the ongoing weakness of the Windows tablet and?PC market.

According to the NPD Group, a?market research firm, "Windows device sales have fallen 21 percent versus the same period last year"?since the launch of Windows 8?on Oct. 26.?Notebook sales dropped 24 percent, while desktop sales saw a dip of "just" 9 percent.

"After just four weeks on the market, it?s still early to place blame on Windows 8 for the ongoing weakness in the PC market," NPD Group's?vice president of industry analysis?Stephen Baker cautions. "We still have the whole holiday selling season ahead of us, but clearly Windows 8 did not prove to be the impetus for a sales turnaround some had hoped for."

Despite Baker's gentle hedging, his company's calculations aren't the first indication that Windows 8 is off to a weak start. A report from Microsoft-focused blogger?Paul Thurrot explains that one of his trusted sources within Microsoft has revealed that the company has failed to meet its internal projections for Windows 8 sales.?

NPD Group's latest numbers support that claim by showing that, since its launch, "Windows 8 has? captured just over half (58 percent) of Windows computing device unit sales, compared to the 83 percent Windows 7 accounted for four weeks after that launch."

And as if that isn't enough bad news, Windows 8 tablet sales have been "almost non-existent," according to NPD Group. The new unit sales represent "less than 1 percent of all Windows 8 device sales to date."

Given these details, it's no surprise that Digitimes???a publication with a hit-and-miss track?record on reports based on anonymous sources???found someone with knowledge of supply chain details who says that ?"Microsoft originally expected to ship four million Surface RT devices by the end of 2012, but has recently reduced the orders by half to only two million units."

While all these reports and suggestions are flying around, Microsoft's focusing on the best statistic it can offer: That 40 million Windows 8 licenses have been sold in the month since the operating system launched. Based on this number,?Tami Reller, finance and marketing head of the Windows business, explained at an investor conference held by Credit Suisse, Windows 8 is actually outpacing the sales of Windows 7.

But here's the kicker, as?Reuter's Bill Rigby explains:?the "bulk of those sales are to PC manufacturers, who in turn sell many machines to companies, very few of which are using Windows 8 yet."?Selling 40 million Windows 8 licenses doesn't mean that Microsoft's got 40 million Windows 8 users. And it doesn't make the operating system the success it needs to be just yet.

Ronaldinho to stay with Atletico Mineiro in 2013

Associated Press Sports

updated 6:41 p.m. ET Nov. 28, 2012

SAO PAULO (AP) -Ronaldinho will play another season with Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro.

The club said Wednesday it has extended Ronaldinho's contract until the end of 2013.

The former two-time world player signed with Atletico Mineiro in June and was key in keeping the club in contention for the Brazilian league title until the final rounds.

The 32-year-old Ronaldinho played 31 matches with Atletico, scoring nine goals.

The former Brazil star says he is staying because he is "going through a wonderful moment at the club" and has been "treated very well" by everyone, "especially the fans," since arriving after a controversial stint with Flamengo.

Atletico still has a chance to finish second in this year's Brazilian league, a competition it hasn't won since 1971.

Euro zone central banks may roll over their Greek bonds: document

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Euro zone central banks may decide to roll over their holdings of Greek debt to reduce by 5.6 billion euros the amount governments will need to provide Athens by 2016, according to an document obtained by Reuters.

Such a move would cut the amount to 2 billion euros from 7.6 billion, the document, which emerged from this week's euro zone finance minister's meeting, showed.

International lenders -- euro zone countries, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund -- agreed early on Tuesday on a debt reduction plan for Athens that would bring Greek debt to 110 percent of GDP in 2022.

This would be down from almost 190 percent expected for next year.

According to the document, Greece would need to get 1.8 billion euros in extra financing in 2012-2014 and another 5.8 billion between 2015 and 2016 -- a total of 7.6 billion.

But it floated the idea that if the euro zone's 17 national central banks, which together form the Eurosystem, decide to replace the Greek bonds they hold with new Greek paper as the debt matures, it would save Greece the need to redeem 3.7 billion euros in 2012-2014 and 1.9 billion euros in 2015-2016.

It lists the item of "roll-over of ANFA holdings" -- a term to describe central banks' investment portfolios -- in parenthesis, suggesting it has yet to be agreed or in any way formalized.

Furthermore, it notes that the amounts mentioned are tentative and subject to approval by national central banks.

There is no public data on the amounts of Greek debt held by individual euro zone central banks.

HELPING ATHENS

The roll-over idea is separate from the issue of the European Central Bank returning profits to Athens from the Greek bond portfolio it has acquired under its Securities Market Programme (SMP.

That will reduce the financing needs of Greece by 4.1 billion euros in 2012-2014 and another 3.0 billion in 2015-2016.

This return of profits -- along with cutting interest on euro zone loans to Greece, a deferral of interest payments, maturities extension, and several other measures -- allowed the euro zone to cut the amount of new money it would have to lend to Greece to 7.6 billion euros from 32 billion euros.

A roll-over of the Greek bonds in investment portfolios of central banks would increase the overall Greek public debt by 0.1 percent of GDP in 2020 and 2022.

But this would be offset by new debt relief measures penciled in by international lenders for the coming years that would cut Greek debt by 2.7 percent of GDP by 2020 and 5.1 percent of GDP by 2022, the document said.

This new debt relief could happen once Greece reaches a primary surplus -- a positive budget balance before servicing debt -- and if Greek reforms are on track, euro zone finance ministers decided on Tuesday.

The blacklist compiled by the Federal Surveillance Service for Mass Media and Communications (Roskomnadzor) is secret, but authorities insist its purpose is to eliminate extreme forms of "offensive" content, such as child pornography, or advocacy of racism, terrorism, drug use and other anti-social behaviors.

The list is constantly changing and expanding (Russian bloggers have posted an alleged copy of it here) and citizens can suggest new entries by logging into an official Roskomnadzor website.

But in its first two weeks of application, the law has produced a few high-profile casualties that critics say point to the fundamental weaknesses of a system that allows authorities to summarily shut down content without any need for a court order or reference to any supervisory body.?

The definitions of "offensive content" are also murky, critics say, and could easily include political conversation that looks "extremist" to a policeman's eyes and other forms of commentary that might be simply misunderstood.

That criticism seems to have already been borne out. This week alone Roskomnadzor has closed down, among others,?a Wikipedia-like encyclopedia of satire, which contained an article about how to make hemp (often associated with marijuana) soup; an online library, which included a copy of "The Anarchist's Cookbook," a 1970's American-authored manual for radicals; and a popular torrent-tracking website, on which users had apparently exchanged a file called "The Encyclopedia of Suicide."

The agency allowed those websites to reopen after the "offensive content" was pruned. But experts say those examples were hugely popular websites whose closure attracted immediate public attention and a storm of complaints; restoring service may not prove so easy for smaller victims of the law.

"The first several days of operation of this law have confirmed our worst fears," says Oleg Kozyrev, a media analyst and popular blogger. ???

"Roskomnadzor can shut down a site within 24 hours, without appealing to a court. But in order to restore a resource, one has to complain and go to court. Even so, the rules for getting back online are not at all clear ... ?As a result, big resources like YouTube, or internet encyclopedias, or social networks are all under threat. They have millions of users, and some of them are inevitably going to post something deemed offensive. That could lead to the closure of the whole portal," which will be disruptive even if it's temporary, he says.

It's possible for sellers to earn a 10 percent return on investment

It's possible for sellers to earn a 10 percent return on investment

Jack Guttentag
Inman News?

A lease-to-own (LTO) transaction is one in which a potential homebuyer occupies the home as a tenant but has an option to purchase it within a specified period at a specified price. In exchange, the potential buyer pays a nonrefundable option fee upfront plus a monthly rent.

In a recent article, I noted the intense interest in LTO deals today by wannabe homebuyers who can't qualify for the mortgage they need to make a purchase now.

Despite the large demand, not many LTO deals are being done. They are very complicated, and most potential buyers and sellers don't know where to go to get help. Further, most sellers view the LTO as a last resort rather than as a potentially profitable investment. In addition, there is no marketplace where potential buyers and sellers can connect.

To deal with these problems, I developed a three-part plan. Part 1 focusing on contractual complexity was to develop with Jack Pritchard a checklist of all the major provisions that might be included in an LTO, explaining the implications of each for both buyer and seller.

The checklist can be used as a negotiating platform for the two parties, who can turn the results over to a local lawyer for conversion into a contract. This list is on my website at Lease-to-Own Home Purchases: Huge Demand But Few Deals.

Part 2 focusing on seller reluctance is an LTO calculator developed with Chuck Freedenberg, and is the subject of this article. The calculator allows potential sellers to view an LTO deal as an investment generating an attractive rate of return, relative to what the seller could obtain by selling at the best price obtainable in the current market.

The investment return is net of the costs of ownership during the option period, including mortgage interest payments, property taxes, homeowners insurance and other expenses of ownership.

Viewing an LTO as a profitable investment should make it a more attractive option to sellers. The potential savings on real estate sales commission, not included in the return on investment, would be icing on the cake.

Here is an example. The seller could get $100,000 if he placed the house on the market today. The balance on his 6 percent mortgage is $60,000, giving him homeowner equity of $40,000 if he sells now. If he does an LTO, the costs of ownership during the option period sum to $610, which includes a $500 mortgage payment, but he is paid an option fee and a monthly rent. In addition, the option price may be higher than the current market price.

The calculator shows the following combinations of option fee, monthly rent and option price that will generate a 10 percent yield over a 12-month option period:

  • Option fee of $1,000, monthly rent of $610, option price of $100,660.
  • Option fee of $1,000, monthly rent of $501, option price of $102,000.
  • Option fee of $654, monthly rent of $610, option price of $101,000.

Of course, the prospective buyer may not find any of these options desirable; among other reasons, she might need a longer option period than 12 months.

A seller and a buyer negotiating a deal can use the calculator together to find the best set of terms that are satisfactory to both.

Negotiations between buyers and sellers at the outset will probably focus on the rate of return, which is based on an estimate of current property value used to calculate it. In setting the current value, we recommend that the two parties agree to accept the judgment of an appraiser.

Part 3 of my plan to develop an LTO market is to provide an online forum where potential buyers and sellers can interact. Sellers would take the initiative in presenting information about the house for sale, and would provide a range of options acceptable to themselves from which potential buyers could make a selection. The table illustrates this approach. Stay tuned.

Option price for different combinations of option fee, option period and monthly rent that yields 10 percent to the seller, with option exercised, on a home salable for $100,000 today

(AP) ? France announced Tuesday that it plans to vote in favor of recognizing a Palestinian state at the U.N. General Assembly this week.

With the announcement, France becomes the first major European country to come out in favor, dealing a setback to Israel. The timing of the announcement appears aimed at swaying other European nations.

Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told parliament that France has long supported Palestinian ambitions for statehood and "will respond 'Yes'" when the issue comes up for a vote "out of a concern for coherency."

The Palestinians say the assembly is likely to vote Thursday on a resolution raising their status at the U.N. from an observer to a nonmember observer state, a move they believe is an important step toward a two-state solution with Israel. A Palestinian state would still not be a full General Assembly member, however.

Unlike the Security Council, there are no vetoes in the General Assembly and the resolution is virtually certain of approval. But such a vote by France ? a permanent council member ? could weigh on decisions in other European capitals.

Europe is divided over the issue. Switzerland and Portugal have said they will vote for the measure, but Germany is among the countries that have opposed the bid. Britain's position remains unclear.

Palestinians say they are doing this out of frustration over the four-year deadlock in peace efforts. They believe an endorsement of their state will bolster their negotiating position.

Israel strongly opposes the bid, accusing the Palestinians of trying to bypass negotiations. The resolution would endorse a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem, the territories captured by Israel in the 1967 Mideast war. Israel opposes a pullback to the 1967 lines.

As French lawmakers applauded Tuesday? many of them members or allies of the Socialist-led government ? Fabius cautioned against raising Palestinian hopes too high.

"But, but, but, but, but ? but at the same time, madame and monsieur lawmakers, we must show in this case a lot of lucidity," he said.

"On the one hand, because the text is currently being discussed, and I myself had (Palestinian) President Mahmoud Abbas on the phone yesterday morning," he said. "On the other hand, because ? let's not hide from this ? that this question will be asked at a very delicate moment."

He went on to note the "fragile cease-fire" after the recent deadly fighting between Hamas and Israel, the Israeli election in January, and the upcoming "change in composition of the American administration" ? with the United States seen by many as perhaps the most pivotal player in the region.

"In any case, it's only through negotiations ? that we ask for without conditions and immediately between the two sides ? that we will be able to reach the realization of a Palestinian state," Fabius said.

Collinsville To Allow Video Gaming Machines | FOX2now.com ? St ...

COLLINSVILLE, IL (KTVI) ? The Collinsville City Council voted to allow video gaming machines in the area?s bars and taverns, despite one councilwoman?s opposition.

?I?m not going to go into all the reasons why I don?t support this,? Nancy Moss said.

Before the 3-1 vote was even taken, she told the council she expected to give the ?only ?no? vote?.

?I?ve said at all the meetings we?ve had I believe it is not in the best interest of our citizens,? she explained. ?It carries so many ? I believe ? impacts on our community.?

But, the council would not be able to vote on the measure if citizens had not allowed the vote in the November general election.? Moss said the ballot language was confusing.? The language reads:? ?Should video gaming be prohibited in the City of Collinsville??

?At this point, it?s moot as to whether people meant to vote for it,? Moss admitted.? But, she cited one voter?s email.? ?It was very ?unusual? ? is what he called it ? to ask a question in the negative and require a positive response in the vote.

With a 56% ?no? vote, video gaming was allowed in Collinsville.? By contrast, the language for Glen Carbon voters read:? ?Should video gaming be permitted in the Village of Glen Carbon??? With a 57% ?no? vote, the video gaming proposal died at the ballot box.

Councilmen went on to amend the Offenses Against Public Decency ordinance.? The amendment would allow video gambling in Collinsville as long as the machines only operated in businesses that had liquor licenses and served no food.? The council also approved licensing fees for the games.

$250 / year for license stickers on each machine in each business.

$500 / year licensing fee to be paid by the business to operate all the machines.

$1,000 / year licensing fee to be paid by the company that installs and operates the machines.

$2,000 / year licensing fee for manufacturers, suppliers or distributors of the machines, if those companies are located in the City of Collinsville.

25% of game revenue will go to the state.

    5% goes to the city.

35% goes to the bar owner

35% goes to the machine owner.

Childhood Nutrition Tips | Health Alert ? Guides for your Health

Many families today lead incredibly busy lives.?Amid the hustle and bustle of a chaotic lifestyle, parents may begin to worry about whether or not their children are receiving adequate nutrition.?Since adequate nutrition is so important to a child and the child?s ability to grow healthy and strong, it is not surprising to find parents seeking out innovative methods of ensuring that children get the right amount of vitamins and nutrients.?While giving a child a daily vitamin supplement is certainly a positive measure, there are other things that parents can do to ensure that their child is getting adequate vitamins and nutrients.

Some children are super picky when it comes to eating and this can cause a parent great concern.?How does a parent get a child to diversify his or her diet without struggling with the child??The key is to stick to it and to continue to introduce healthy foods into the child?s regular diet.?Even if a child seems to prefer the same foods time and time again, introducing new foods will eventually help the child in identifying things that he or she enjoys eating.?If choosing to introduce new, healthy meals and snacks a parent should refrain from overwhelming the child with too many new or strange foods as well.?Children are more apt to appreciate new food introductions if they are not constantly seeing something different appear on their plates.?

To encourage a desire for new foods, the parent may want to ask the child to help with creating meals; when a child feels like they have control over what they are eating, they can begin to feel better about new food introductions.?Children might also enjoy developing a weekly or monthly meal plan; this will help the child develop a sense of stability and meal expectancy, and will further promote quality family time together with parents.?While developing meals and meal plans the parent can take special time to teach the child about cooking, nutritional facts, and the parent can also teach the child about super healthy food choices and selections.?To make meal preparation a complete lesson, the child should also be encouraged to shop for foods, to cut coupons, and to learn how to save money on food buying endeavors as well if the child is old enough to do so.?In addition, children can be taught about healthy snack food selections and how to make their own healthy snacks.

Parents concerned about a child?s food intake should also make every effort to eat together on a consistent basis.?Researchers have proven that family meals and gatherings are a positive time for children as well as parents.?Sit down meals encourage the intake of adequate nutrition and families get a better chance to communicate with one another during meals as well.?What?s more, when a family takes the time to eat meals together, the parent can monitor what foods a child is eating better, the child develops excellent manners, and the child is encouraged to openly socialize with parents and siblings.

A Look Into Web Design For Business | Internet Marketing Booth

In this day and age, it seems everyone has realized that a good website is more or less a necessary prerequisite of a successful business enterprise. However, the necessity, also, of good web design is sometimes overlooked. Unfortunately, a website that is badly designed can in fact be much worse than no website at all.

    Punt return lifts Colts

    By MICHAEL MAROT

    AP Sports Writer

    Associated Press Sports

    updated 8:57 p.m. ET Nov. 25, 2012

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Andrew Luck isn't the only rookie having a pretty good season for the Indianapolis Colts.

T.Y. Hilton became the latest first-year player to come through for the surprising Colts with a little club history in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Buffalo Bills. The third-round draft choice became the first Colt to return a punt for a score and catch a touchdown pass in the same game.

"That surprises nobody on this team and that's what he's paid to do," fellow receiver Reggie Wayne said. "I'm excited for every one of these guys when they make a big play. Everybody on this team, their futures are so bright. I'm just glad to be part of it."

Hilton scored on a 75-yard punt return in the first quarter and caught an 8-yard pass from Luck in the third to cap his big day. The 5-foot-9, 183-pound receiver came into the game with three 100-yard days, so he's already made quite an impression.

He also showed he's pretty tough, too.

After returning the first punt for a score, he took a vicious high-low combination hit on his second punt. The hit left Hilton holding his head with both hands and fans breathless as he lay motionless on the ground for several minutes. Hilton was cheered as he walked off gingerly off the field, and team officials announced he was being evaluated for a head injury.

But he returned later in the first half and helped Indy's sluggish offense wake up in the second half. While he caught only three passes for 33 yards, he was the star attraction even though Wayne set a record of his own.

The veteran receiver broke Cris Carter's NFL record for most consecutive games with multiple catches. Carter had done it 58 times in a row. Wayne's streak is now at 59. He also passed Art Monk and Derrick Mason on the NFL's career receptions chart and with 946 is now within five of moving into the top 10.

The Colts improved to 7-4, while the Bills fell to 4-7.

Luck, who has gotten most of the credit for Indy's remarkable turnaround, was 20 of 37 for 240 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He became only the second Colts' rookie to top 3,000 yards in a season. The other was Peyton Manning.

Hilton said he spoke to ailing coach Chuck Pagano before the game. Bruce Arians is the interim coach while Pagano is being treated for leukemia, but Pagano attended his second game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

"I talked to coach Pagano before the game and he just told me to `stretch and cut, stretch and cut,"' Hilton said, describing the advice he was given about returning kicks. "So I was able to stretch and my blockers did a good job of getting in front of their dudes, made two guys miss me and I went to the house."

The Bills (4-7) couldn't muster enough offense to keep up with the Colts.

C.J. Spiller ran 14 times for 107 yards, his sixth straight game with 100 yards from scrimmage. Ryan Fitzpatrick was 17 of 33 for 180 yards with one TD and one interception, and Stevie Johnson caught six passes for 106 yards, his first 100-yard game since December 2011.

The Bills did end their red-zone touchdown drought with Fitzpatrick's 1-yard TD pass to Lee Smith with 11:30 left in the game.

Losing was a major setback for a team hoping to end a 12-year absence from the playoffs.

"This one was obviously really needed," Fitzpatrick said. "I don't really want to project or talk about the next however many games we have left. It's all about `Go get back to work and try to win next week.' It's all we can worry about."

Hilton got things started by fielding Shawn Powell's 48-yard punt at his own 25, faking out Smith, breaking another tackle in the middle of the field and sprinting to the end zone for Indy's first punt return for a score in five years.

After the teams traded four field goals, Hilton emerged again, pulling down Luck's third-down pass in the back of the end zone.

All the Bills could come back with was Fitzpatrick's late TD pass.

"I couldn't be prouder of the football team, because Chuck was here and the goal was to make him smile when he left," Arians said. "I'm sure he's up there smiling."

NOTES: Spiller's six-game streak is the longest by a Bills player since Thurman Thomas in 1992-93. ... Wayne also moved into the NFL's top 15 for yards receiving, passing Monk and Irving Fryar. ... Bills defensive end Chris Kelsay left in the first half with a neck injury and fullback Corey McIntyre left in the fourth quarter with a right ankle injury. Neither returned. ... Buffalo hasn't won in Indy since 1998 and has lost seven of the last eight in this series.

Im not looking for sex. Im looking for a friend, someone to talk to, someone to spend time with. It is depressing being alone all the time and I am becoming more and more anti-social as the days go by. My panic attacks are getting worse too when im around other people. All I do is try to stay strong and "man the fuck up", and nothing positive comes from it. This dating site thing was a last ditch effort to try to meet people... I havent felt SO shitty and worthless than I do now. I try to rationalize it and think of reasons why not a single fucking person has even given me even a shred of a chance, like maybe I posted some bad pictures or maybe my profile is poorly written. I seriously do not understand anymore and its making me hate who I am... like Im not good enough for ANYONE, not a single fucking human being on this planet:sad: It is SO disheartening, I cannot begin to express the pain I feel on a daily basis, because I feel like such a loser, SUCH a loner.

What is the point of all this pain? What is the point of trying SO FUCKING HARD and seeing 0 results? Not even once! I cannot even justify those odds with a positive thought.

hey, OP, have you thought about maybe attending some local shroomery gatherings? the people here are great and many of them would love to be your friends, i'm sure.

i'm probably not anywhere close to you, i'm not really close to anyone, but i do have a PM box that is always open to those who wish to use it. i know you want someone to hang out with, but i can offer what i can give. if you ever need to really talk, just shoot me a PM and you can have at least a moment of my time, mostly likely more.

(don't be discouraged if i don't respond RIGHT away though, i will thoughtfully respond when i know i have sufficient time to. ^_^)

Sorry to hear your situation.? The only advice I can offer up is to figure out what hobbies and activities you enjoy outside of work, and engage in them locally.? Sharing time in a group with people who share your interest is a inherent precursor to friends.

I recently broke up with my long-term girlfriend after we had moved together to a new city.? Now I've lost my social safety net, and I've gotta get back into the world again.? I'm about go embark on the same journey you NEED to embark on:

    Seeking out local interests.

    Go do it. Today.

Join a chess club, yoga, shooting club, local kickball league, ANYTHING.? Just go there, try to be friendly but not creepy/needy/isolated/etc.? You know, all that normal shit.

Try to have a good time.? Grab a drink or two at home before you go to the place if you want to take a edge off (just don't become reliant on this, or people might pick up on it and assume you an alcoholic).
