Music exec and filmmaker Kobie Brown will delve into the current state of Black fatherhood in a new documentary that is sure to push the often hush-hush conversation within our families and community.
From Fatherless To Fatherhood aims to explore how our future success and opportunities are directly affected by our foundations at home. The documentary will face the tough questions surrounding Black fathers, as well as highlight those who are ?fostering quality relationships with their children, families and therefore, their communities.?
?This 8-part web series is an extension of the film and my perspective about strengthening the currency of fathers of our community,? Brown writes at EBONY.com. ?It provides a glimpse into the lives and perspectives of those from a Hollywood film executive to a mother of six, around the meaning and value of quality manhood and fatherhood.?
?Moreover, it is an invitation to share your views about fatherhood; to challenge one another in a positive way about the value we place on parenting, fatherhood and family.?
From Fatherless to Fatherhood will premiere Sunday, June 16 at 8 p.m. ET on ASPIRE. Check out the trailer below.
