The Router Known As The Dark Knight Is Your Deal of the Day

Routers are boring. Most people set them up and forget they even have one. But this Asus router is so notorious that it has a cool nickname: "The Dark Knight." And Newegg's selling them for $100 shipped.

These Asus RT-N66Us are refurbished, which explains the $50 savings over a new one from Amazon. But it's still a very nice deal: if you aren't going with an Aironet or a Airport, this is pretty much the finest home router you can buy. It's a simultaneous dual-band router, and it casts a large, stable WiFi network.

It's the Wirecutter's pick, and from personal experience I can attest installing a premium router completely upgraded my home network?it stopped crashing, and I started getting vastly superior speeds.
